Resue Mode Fails

Hi guys...

Bought Bitdefender 2012 yesterday and tied to run a Rescue Mode...

Fails to start!

I am no computer geek, so is there a fault? is it my machine?

PS: Error messages have been sent to whoever the machine sends them to! (told you I am no computer geek! - lol)

I also tried rescue mode and it fails to boot when i try and boot it , it stops at the second set of code and never loads anything after that ive waited for about 5 mins and nothing , i also have a encrypted system if that affects, it but i doubt it, since avast boot scanner worked with my encrypted system. I also tried reparing bitdefender by using the uninstall/repair options but it fails to load still

It seems to me that Bitdefender have a habit of having trouble with the recuse mode or even getting a recue cd to work from other versions.

I talked online to technical support who advised to do a repair on a newly installed Bitdefender Internet security 2012, needs repairing so soon after installing... does not give a lot faith in the product there does it... why does it not install properly!

Did the repair, load rescue mode and same problem, will not update? is the update path correct??

should recue mode enable wireless mode or will it only work via ethernet connection?

Even then if you want to scan the antivirus engine will not load? ... what the heck is that about!

I can download the kaspersky recue cd and that works first time, connects to wireless internet and everything!

I found Bitdefender 2011 better to be honest, did not look as good as 2012 but to be honest if you asked most customers if they prefer a product that works or looks good I bet the majority would say the product working like it should with a small percentage saying looks are important.

It is important that the product works!

I have more to mention about the slowness that 2012 causes compared to 2011, http traffic scanning is far too agressive and thottles your connection massively!

I can put on the 2011 version to get my internet speed back or disable the http traffic scanning and make it custom but what is the point of having that module installed if you need to disable it!?

Come on Bitdefender don't try to over complicate things, your antivirus engines are well known now as being one of the best but you risk losing a lot of customers if you over complicate things and produce a product that does not supersede the last product! ... go figure.
