Rescue Mode Self Protection
The files that are used in rescue mode are easily deleted. This is a very important scan and should have the same level of self protection that the rest of the Bitdefender program has.
What do you want to say Rescue Mode files can be deleted or Bitdefender files can be deleted in Rescue Mode? Did you use any tool such as Unlocker for removing them? The Windows based malwares can't do any malicious action or affect/infect the Linus Environment, so there may be no need for Self Protection from malwares unless the attempt to delete the files manually.0 -

From windows environment, I can delete the files used by rescue mode. I can right click on these files and select delete. I don't need to use any unlocker utility. After I deleted these files I can't boot into rescue mode because these files are missing. The only way to get these files back is to repair Bitdefender, reinstall Bitdefender, or restore a system image. Or restore from recycle bin if they haven't been permanently deleted.
I would like to see these files protected so malware authors cannot disable an important Bitdefender feature.0 -
In this case, you are right that the Rescue Mode Files should be protected fully, so that they can't be remove manually or by any malware.
