Rescue Mode

Yesterday I used the bitdefender rescue mode. After failing to get the updates (my systems is on wifi) I decided to shutdown the rescue mode with by pressing the shutdown button and then selecting shutdown. After starting the computer it prompted me with a choice between booting between windows 7 and the bitdefender rescue mode.

Somehow I can't get rid of this 'dual boot' menu. I tried reentering the rescue mode close the application both ways restarting the computer, booting win7 and shutting down the computer, as per other posts in this forum (http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=31863).

Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums!

In this case, you can manually edit the boot menu with this tool:

Download it, install it and when opened, click on Edit Boot Menu.

Remove the Rescue Mode entry and click on Save Settings.

Note: make sure you remove the correct entry or your operating system will not start after the first reboot.
