Recently i used 7zip to unzip a virus infected file. I know opening it or running it will lead to infection or security harm to my pc but if i selected to unzip it to a folder even thought is an exe using 7zip do i am still in danger?

Only if you actually run that file or an external resource(like a program) is loading it to the memory you can get infected.
If the file is just stored on the HDD, you don't have to worry.
Also, I recommend you to use virtual machines if you like to play with malware.
