Hello, i am using G-data IS 2013 and today I've noticed firefox was caught as " gen:trojan.heur.jp.4u1@aqaog1ci " by the Bitdefender engine.
Can anyone give more info on this ?
I would also like to add that I've been using FF 15 since its release with G-data and never had this problem, it just happened today when i started up my PC.
Hello
Welcome to our forums.
I have installed Firefox 15 on a test machine and scanned the installation folder with Bitdefender using the latest definitions.
That file is still flagged?
Thank you!

Nope, apparently it was just a one time thing, was it a false positive ? I am kinda confused don't know if it was a legit detection. i turned on my pc and ive see the firefox process getting quarantined.
Ive been using firefox 15 since the first day it released but never had it detected as malware, Ive installed a new copy of firefox right after it got detected and didn't have any problems with it.
Is there a possibility that maybe something infected the process ?
I like to think i have a clean PC though, i do regular full scans with gdata (so bitdefender+avast), malwarebytes , emisoft antimalware, spy bot search and destroy and i am also a cautious user so i dont click on what i shouldn't.
It was a False Positive and it was removed by my colleagues.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Have a great day!
