On-access Scanning Is Disabled

Updated daughter laptop with new version of BD AV 2013 (2011 previous). Ran full scan before install. Install seemed to go well. However, the security widget says there is an issue and when opening it, the issue is "On-access scanning is disabled". Ok, so click fix it and it failed. Re-installed, same issue. The BD AV 2013 app window shows green, however clicking on a scan does nothing, auto update is disabled, cant turn off autopilot, cant change settings.

BD AV 2013 been working fine on my computer. Both of us have Windows 2007, mine is Pro, hers is Home.

  • Did your try the repair install? instead of removing it completely?


    Or the Uninstall tool after you uninstalled it properly?

  • I'm having the same issue. Trying to follow the instructions in the "Generate a Standalone Support Tool Log", but I'm unable to locate the .exe file in the zip drive. Anyone have any thoughts?

    After running the diagnostic tool an archive is created on your desktop. The name starts with BDSP_. This is the file we need for the analysis.


    Please send me via PM the BDSP_ archive so I can assist you further.
