Hello and thanks in advance for your help,
About a week ago I received an email from a friend with a heading like: "hey, Neil". The system warned me not to open, and like a dummy, I opened it. It took me to a web page at MSNBC discussing "work at home". In any case, I deleted it and ran a full scan with a result of no infection. Unlike the similar post, I have had no additional emails like this since.
All seems to work well except I can't load my gmail or google news. They occasionally load, but not often. Same problem on my Wife's PC, which is on my home network, she did not receive this email. No problem with the ipad which is also on the home network. I can't seem to figure it out. Network access to all other sites are fine. The only think I can think of is possible infection, but how could my wife's PC (also with bitdefender 2012) have the same issue? The malware couldn't travel through my router could it?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have the email in gmail trash if you would like me to send it.
