Bitdefender Has A Conflict With Itunes

I decided to purchase BTS 2013 after reading the great reviews on its ability to battle viruses and malware. Unfortunately, I am finding that it is battling items that it should not be having problems with.

I use iTunes. I download podcasts via iTunes. I am finding that when iTunes "processes the file," the download stops and I have to restart from the beginning. I didn't have problems with this before. The only thing that has changed is the installation of BTS 2013. After doing some troubleshooting, I decided to stop the "on-access" scanning for the folder in which the podcasts are saved. After changing this setting, I have not had problems with downloading podcasts.

I believe that this a bug on BTS 2013, unless a technician could give me another alternative that does not make this folder vulnerable.

The more and more I am dealing with BTS 2013, the more inclined I am about asking for a refund. I am glad that my tech expertise allows me to figure crap like this out, but someone that is not versed on computers at all most likely is having difficulties with this software.

Hello and welcome to the Bitdefender forum!

A product update was recently released. Your build should be 16.27.0.1763 (please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

    Changelog:

Let me know if the situation is solved afterwards.

    Have a nice day! :)

I am having a very similar problem with iTunes, but I am using Windows 8. There is no icon in the Windows System Tray, and I have been trying to find it in various other ways. How can I find out what version and build I have? Thanks you.
