Bitdefender Antivirus Reports That It Is Turned Off

This is a constant bug with bitdefender. Fresh install of 2013 AV Plus, and yet Windows 7 keeps warning "bitdefender antivirus reports that it is turned off" when it is clearly on.

I keep a very clean system, everything is updated every day. This doesn't make sense.
