Context Menu Crash On Usb Drive "properties"

I installed BD2013 AVP today on one of myWin7 Pro computers just to see if the many problems have been resolved. The Chkdsk issue appears to have been fixed but the context menu issue still persists. If there is no fix I will return to BDP2012 until my license expires in 55 days.

I had 12 customer computers using BDP 2013 but I had to uninstall it on 7 of them due to these persistent issues and return them to 2012. I am moving away from BD as licenses expire, it is not cost effective for me to promote BD and then get all the service calls. I have learned a valuable lesson, never suggest programs to customers unless you are totally prepared to be support for those programs.

Is there a context menu crash solution on USB drive "properties"?

  • Hi shpshftr,

The issue you reported about the Windows Explorer crash when opening the properties of an USB stick was released with the build version 16.0.26...

Your current build should be 16.27.0.1763 (please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number). In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

Let me know if the situation is solved. :)
