Scan Time
Since using Bitdefender 2012 and more recently 2013 my full scan time is in excess of 11 hours. I was given 2013 version by tech support as a solution to my problem but if anything the run time is now even longer. Today the scan has been running for 7 hours 48 min., processed 15000 files @ less than 1 a second and for the last 7 hours it has been saying it needs another 1 hr 30 min. to complete. I run XP on a 2.6 GHZ processor with 1.536 MB of ram. While Bitdefender is running I am showing 100% cpu usage with VSSERV.EXE taking on average 85%. I run nothing else on the machine while the scan is running because it is impossible to do so. Other antivirus packages I've used in the past (Shield Delux, Malaware Bytes, Ad-Aware take a maximum of 4 hours to complete. Any ideas?
