I was installing Bit Defender 2013 Internet Security when a pop up appeared from Superantispyware saying that a trojan Bifrose had been detected and stopped.I tried to re-install the programme again but same message popped up.Any suggestions?
Hi dessie, and welcome
First I would download the full install version of Bitdefender here, in case SAS corrupted BD attempt to install in any way.
Then we need to uninstall SuperAntiSpyware, as it can conflict with Bitdefender's install, and in fact may be flagging it as false positive Trojan. Uninstall SAS from Control Panel/Programs and Features, then I would, just to be sure, use their uninstall tool for your OS -bit version (found 1/2 down the web page): http://www.superantispyware.com/supportfaq...lay.html?faq=47
Restart your PC, and run the free version of CCleaner in Reg mode, only deleting any leftover SAS reg. keys. Restart your PC, and install BD.
As far as I know, the free version of Malwarebytes is the only sanctioned non real time scanning software, that can be run along side with Bitdefender: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry151353
By the way, what OS are you running?
Give this a try, and let us know how it goes

Hi
Which file is detected as Bifrose Trojan by superantispyware? May be false +ve of it. Kindly attach here the snapshot of that detection.

Thanks Colombo for your help and instructions.I managed to install BIS 2013 but unfortunately it wouldn't let me open firefox for some strange reason Opera,IE no problem at all.
Hi ONT try this link http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?act...ost&id=9531.
You can cross-check that detected files from "Virustotal.com" as they are may be the false +ves of superantispyware. I can say this because they are detected by "Heuristics" which has more chances to have False +ves than traditional Signature Based detections.
Hello
Those are False Alarms, we will contact the publisher to remove them ASAP.
Thank you!
