Cant Remove Trojan Generic Virus On Mac

I ran a scan last night and found 5 infected files, but says "Cant Delete or Quarantine" ..... How Can I remove them? Is it really as simple as opening the file in Finder and deleting it?

Running on Mac OSx.

In order to remove all infected objects from your system you need to perform the following steps:

. Disable the Bitdefender real-time protection and/or any other active security solution(s) that you are using;

. Browse and delete the infected files. You can find the path towards them from the scan log.

. Enable the real-time protection.

In order to check whether the malware removal procedure has succeeded, we recommend another complete scan of your computer with Bitdefender.

[how to DISABLE THE REAL-TIME PROTECTION on Bitdefender]

In order to disable the real-time protection please open Bitdefender, go to "Settings" > "Shield" set "Real-time protection" to OFF (the message will change to "Real-time protection is DISABLED"). The real-time protection should be enabled after performing the troubleshooting procedure.

In order to delete the infected emails you need to:

- open your email client;

- use the scan report generated by Bitdefender in order to locate the infected emails;

- delete all infected emails from their current location (right click and select "Delete"); additionally make sure to empty the Deleted Items/Trash folder of your email client;

- erase deleted messages (right click on the Mailbox and select "Erase deleted messages...")
