Hello,
I have a question. Is there a way to set Autoscan in Windows 8 Security so it completes its scan regardless of the system idle status. For example in my situation, once Autoscan has started, if I even just barely touch my mouse the scan stops. When it resumes it evidently start again from the beginning. Also my system will go into hibernate often before the scan can complete. Autoscan will start again from the beginning once I exit hibernation. Also I would like to be able to view the Autoscan status from time to time. The balloon that appears when the scan starts says to click there for status/more information. Again in this situation, as soon as I move my mouse, the Autoscan stops and tray icon disappears. The Autoscan will restart once my system is idle again.
In summary, I would very much like the Autoscan finish once it starts. Lots of time it may have to got through 8 or ten start/stop cycles before it finally finishes. This can take quite a bit of time. Mouse movement (or any activity at all), going into sleep/hibernation, basically any activity of any kind, will stop the Autoscan and restart it from the beginning once machine ceases to have any activity. I would like to set W8S so once the scan starts, it finishes no matter the idle state, and be able to view the status of the Autoscan (as the pop-up balloon states).
Are there any settings available to achieve this, and if not is there any way to add such a setting? A lot of resources are wasted as many times as the Autoscan starts/stops/restarts again from beginning, and I would like to have the Autoscan just be able to start and finish in one cycle plus be able to view status.
