Last night, I ran a complete scan and the computer came up clean--nothing detected, nothing in the log. This was my first use of Bitdefender. Then I turned on the computer this morning and opened bit defender. I was told I hadn't run the anti-phishing part. When I clicked that button I was told to add a bitdefender extension. Then I was warned (apparently by Bitdefender) about adding it. I am not sure whether to install it (please excuse but I know nothing about this stuff). There is nothing in any log indicating a problem, but since I can no longer open Safari, there is a problem. I cleaned all the extensions from Chrome ("spigot" was in the name of all of the problematic ones) and Chrome appears to be clean. I am writing on a different computer.
Can you advise? This is getting so frustrating because I can't access Safari to remove extensions. When I could access Safari I did remove extensions.
