On-access Scanning Disabled

I have installed Bitdefender Antivirus Plus. It has one issue to fix. The issue is on-access scanning disabled. When I try to fix it it says failed.

How can I fix it?

I have run a support tool. It's at http://www.sendspace.com/file/tfdh12

XP Pro Sp3 32bit

Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013

No other security programs are installed

I have Uninstalled a bunch to get this installed

AND 1.67 Ghz 1.75gb of ram

Thanks,

    I have done a repair & re-boot. It didn't fix the problem.

    I have done an Uninstall with Total Uninstall. I ran BitDefender_Uninstall_Tool. & A re-boot.

I have downloaded a new copy of Bitdefender Antivirus Plus downloader.

I have installed Bitdefender Antivirus Plus. It had one fix needed. It said it needed a re-boot.

After re-booting it gets stuck on the Windows XP screen.

I can re-boot with Last known good configuration.

What is hanging at the windows XP screen?

  • I Uninstalled Google Crome and had it running for a minute. It was doing an update. After the update finished it gave me a BSOD Stop: 0x0000008e

It is creating a dump. Would you like to see the dump?

  • After a re-boot it looks like it's running fine.

On the main screen I turned off Antiphishing, In settings, Antivirus, On-access scanning, Modify, Traffic Scan, I unchecked Scan HTTP traffic, In Actions, I checked Move files to quarantine. On the home screen I selected Update now.

After the update it said it required a re-boot. I re-booted the PC. I turned on Antiphishing, and put a check in Scan HTTP traffic. I re-booted. It appears to be working.
