How To Remove Ad.xtendmedia.com Virus

Whenever I am in any site that has ads in it, I am getting obscene ads from ad.xtendmedia.com. I installed bit defender and ran an entire system scan but it said there were no threats. When I installed trial of spyhunter software, it showed me some 201 threats. Why is bit defender not able to identify them. What should I do to remove this virus or adware or whatever it is...

In order to be able to further investigate the reported situation we need a bit more information from your computer as follows:

. A BDSYS log;

[how to GENERATE A BDSYS LOG]

. Save and extract the BDSYS tool to a location of your choice:

. Make sure you close all active applications and then run "BDSysLog_i.exe"; If you receive a firewall alert,select to Allow the application to connect;

. Click the "Create log" button to start generating the log; A progress bar is indicating that the tool is creating the report;

. When the small window appears with the message "Log saved" then the report is complete and a new file named "bdsyslog.zip" has appeared on your Desktop;

. Upload the results to one of the online file hosting servers mentioned below or use one of your own and post here the download link.

Xtendmedia is neither virus nor adware. It's a tracking server which may add cookies on your computer. You may opt-out from it here: http://xtendmedia.com/opt-out

Spyhunter probably detected cookies and maybe some PUPs, I don't know, but these are not serious threats. If you get popups from ad.extendmedia.com as described here: http://deletemalware.blogspot.com/2013/05/...p-up-virus.html you should scan your computer with Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner. Cheers!

Any updates on this? Bitdefender is not removing the Ad.Xtendmedia.com virus.
