Auto Scan Always Off

Options

I am having a problem with the auto scan button. Every time I boot my computer up and reaches the desktop, I look at the bottom right corner and I notice my Bitdefender icon is orange-yellow and when I open the program the auto scan is set to off and also auto update. I am not worried about the auto update because once a week I usually check for updates anyways but I would like to know how can I make it so every time I boot up my computer and reaches it's desktop that the auto scan will be always turned on. Thanks!

Ray

    Hi Ray, and welcome :)

Just a couple of questions. What version of Bitdefender are you running (2103 AV+, IS, TS, or BD W8) and what OS is it running on?

    Thank you,

    Scott

  • I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS and Bitdefender 2013 AV+

Also I should say that when I unplug my adapter for my laptop it goes into laptop mode and when I plug it back in, it goes back to the orange-yellow 'B' and autoscan is always off.

    Hi Ray :)

Thanks for that follow up information. We had in the past experienced more frequent threads and posts of some settings not being saved, but that seems to have been (pretty much) resolved: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=36690

As far as Autoscan disabling (and Auto update post# 1) upon unplugging/replugging your power adapter back, isn't something I am able to recreate on my end, and is functioning properly. I would suggest running a repair, and seeing if that helps (restarting your PC): http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35489

Otherwise, if you had a previous AV solution on your PC that didn't get totally uninstalled, can cause glitches with Bitdefender. For now, let's try a repair, and see if that helps.

Thank you so much it worked! I repaired it and, yes, it worked!
