Occasional Bsod After Exiting Game

Options

Hello,

Recently I've been having various issues with my computer, one of those being a failing graphics card (XFX Radeon HD 5770, causing system shutdowns without BSOD). The issue I'm reporting here may or may not be related to Bitdefender, but the crash dump mentions vsserv.exe.

Once in a while, after finishing a match in League of Legends, I will get a BSOD. This is a minidump from the most recent BSOD:

I hope that is enough info to provide some sort of explanation. Please let me know if any more info would be needed. Thanks!

  • ntkrnlmp.exe is a Windows component. Have you tried uninstalling and see if you're still getting BSOD? smile2.png

    Hello and welcome gabriel21st!

Please try to add L.o.L. to the exceptions list of Bitdefender by following these steps, then check if the issue persists:

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35502

If it does, I will need:

    - a support tool log from that computer (run "C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2013\supporttool.exe" to generate the support tool archive)

    - the latest logs from C:\Windows\minidump

Please upload the information on www.sendspace.com or www.mediafire.com, then post here the download link.

    Thank you :)

  • Hello,

I've tried your suggestion last week and just wanted to update you on this. After applying the exceptions, so far I have not had any more blue screens, but I'll give it a little more time to make sure. Thanks!

    Glad to hear that. :)

Also, a product update was recently released. Your build should be 16.29.0.1830 (please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

Let me know if you need further assistance. Have a nice weekend!

  • Hello,

It's been over a month since I've had this problem but it had just started to come back. I continue to occasionally get BSOD after finishing a match in League of Legends. This is the only time a BSOD ever occurs on my computer.

This is the exception I added early last month (April) in the antivirus settings:

Excluded files and folders: C:\Riot Games\League of Legends

Here are the most recent crash dumps as well:
