Bitdefender has not coped with the treatment of active infections, removing all infected binaries, programs have become corrupted.

Thank you for reporting.

We have identified the problem, but due to certain circumstances, a fix will probably not be pushed to users before Monday.

At that point, files should be detected as Win32.Neshta.A and properly disinfected if possible.

That's right, bitdefender does not correctly detect and delete virus, so files. Here's my test sample. Password standard.

I strongly encourage you to remove the file from Mega.

As I stated in the previous post, the problem has been noted and will be taken care of on Monday.

I'd also like to point out that for the uploaded sample, the proper action is deletion.

I see a scenario where anti-virus installed on the infected system.

I agree with you on that, but that does not apply for everyone.

My issue is with file infectors. Many, and this one included (from the samples I have seen), have a healthy chance of rendering files unrepairable.

Please keep in mind that, as I said above, this threat can lose parts of files on infection, rendering some of them unrepairable.

Thank you Scott. BitDefender protects the system from getting infected with the virus and now has the ability to repair infected programs if the system already has been struck by the virus.
