Bitdefender Registration Problemss

Hello.

I had purchased Bitdefender 2012 like 6 months ago. I saw a post on the forum that it can be upgraded to 2013 and I did so. Till now I was running bitdefender 2013 on Windows XP SP3. Recently I purchased a new RAM and installed windows 7. I tried installing bitdefender 2013 but it will not accept my key again. My key is valid for another 165 days and I want to use it. Till now I had thought that while registration of the product bitdefender main server remembers the MAC ID of the installed computer. Can someone help me with this issue? I want to use bitdefender 2013 again. Please dont confuse it. I am installing it on the same laptop that I installed it the first time. Please help me with this.

Your license key is not eligible for upgrading to Bitdefender 2013. This is why Bitdefender 2013 remains in trial version and rejects the key.

You need to install Bitdefender Total Security 2012, available for download here.

Please run the removal tool for Bitdefender 2013 prior to installing the 2012 version.

thank you for the response. But when I was using windows xp I was using bitdefender 2013 and it worked fine. Now when I reinstalled windows I am not able to do the same.

and I saw the response what christian gave there. I think it was a new key generated for 2013. Can you please look into this matter.??

I checked the topic and I also discussed with Chris. Indeed, most Bitdefender keys are eligible for upgrade to the latest version. However, the key that you purchased is geographically limited and restricted to Bitdefender 2012.

One of my colleagues from Customer Service was kind enough to replace your key (via Ticket ID: 201305241025876) with one compatible with the Indian version of Bitdefender 2013, so you can use the latest product.

Once Bitdefender 2014 is released on the market there should no longer be in effect such keys restrictions, but at the moment we can't offer any guarantee. Should you decide to upgrade to Bitdefender 2014 at that moment it will be best to contact us directly by email via:
