Exploit.tiff.gen

The malware titles Exploit.TIFF.Gen is continuously being detected and quarantined by Bitdefender. My log is rather lengthy, as Exploit.TIFF.Gen is caught as many as four or five times per minute. Below is my information concerning the problem:

1) Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013

2) Windows 7 Home Premium

3) Multiple notifications of Exploit.TFF.Gen being detected/quarantined, with different origins.

4) Also running ESET in background

5) First of all, on my Bitdefender home display, it states "There are no issues to fix" at the top.

Second, there are over 99 warnings stating that "Exploit.TIFF.Gen" has been quarantined (some state my computer is virus free, some state that it's not).

Third, attached is a copy of my scan log:

Any suggestions on how to get rid of this?

Please reproduce a few items showing the issue from your real-time scan log. A couple of samples from the quarantine would also be welcome.

Are these helpful? The popup is displaying at least half a dozen times per minute. There are continuous notifications, all with the exploit virus.

If the problem manifests continuously, try temporarily disabling your ESET solution and see if that helps. The files might be generated by them in an incomplete manner, that might be triggering the detection. If this is the situation, there's nothing much we can do about it. Most antimalware solutions cannot usually run concurrently on the same system without occasionally stepping on each other's toes.

Moving forward, please try to restore a sample from the quarantine, add it to a password protected archive, and upload it somewhere, along with the content of C:\windows\temp\tmp0000397\. It might be required that the folder you restore the file to be temporarily added to the scanning exclusions in Bitdefender, as to prevent scanning and removal of the file.

A log created as stated here might also be of use in tracking the culprit.
