I run several free scanning products, in addition to BitDefender Total Security 2013, my primary defense.
I recently downloaded and ran the free Sophos virus remover and discovered malware BitDefender had missed. Having done that, I then ran Trend Micro's HouseCall.
While HC was running, BitDefender reported Gen:Variant.Kazy.127244 in a temporary HouseCall path file, and, of course, could not delete it as HC was running.
I suspect this is a false positive, as it only showed up while HC was running, and only in that one HC file. I will let HC continue its scan and then remove its temporary files and do a full system scan with BitDefender to see what, if anything, turns up.
I thought it was worth mentioning, and look forward to your comments. I have uploaded a screen capture which illustrates the report.
