Help!

I'm running BitDefender 2013 on Windows 8.

Upon startup of my computer I noticed a couple of issues:

1. If leaving the computer unattended for more than a few minutes after startup, the desktop stops responding to mouse clicks, and pressing keyboard buttons has no effect (eg alt-tab or ctrl-alt-delete)

2. Windows action centre advises me that Windows Firewall and BitDefender are turned off. I cannot manually turn them on again through the action centre.

I've run BitDefender System Scan and received warning of an infected file with Gen:Variant Kazy.42327 and that Bitdefender cannot disinfect or remove the file - see attached screenshot.

What steps should I take next to ensure my computer is not infected?

Due to several factors, it is quite difficult to find out if this is a false positive or not. Would it be possible for your to send a sample?

Hi Catalin, thanks for responding so quickly. Sure I would like to send a sample / just not sure how to do this, and where to send it to?
