Autoscan - Slows Down Computer

Hi, i have an issue when autoscan is running my computer slows down. It is very disturbing, web pages loads very slow, and generally computer very slows down. Settings are default, my computer(laptop) is Samsung 350v5c-s08pl.
Processor: intel i5-3210m
HDD: 500GB 5200 RPM, SATA 3Gb/s
How can i resolve this issue or finally turn off autoscan?
