How could this happen?
As I understand, there will not be a public statement regarding this, so I'd like to direct you to read this page, which explains the situation rather well.
While I do not know the extent of the hijack, I can say that product and signature updates are signed, so customers were not affected.
Thank you for your reply, Catalin! I just do not understand why the Palestinians are not hacked the site Check Point)
Check Point does not use the same registrar.
On the other hand, none of these so-called hackers boast with what they failed to do.
Draw your own conclusions.
It's probably important to state that the views and opinions expressed herein are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views of Bitdefender, its affiliates or its employees.

At least you replied in this ghost forum, Catalin. Is this what it takes to get Bitdefender to respond to Threads/Posts, a hack attack?
Does anyone even care to answer the Bitdefender Client Security v3.x forum? The last response there was on July 23rd. The Home user side is just as pathetic. Don't worry, you don't need to suspend me or ban me, I'm out of here.
Thanks for this thread, Rampant, you are the true sentinel here at Bitdefender, and I will miss our PMs and posts together. I wish you all the best, my friend
Thanks Scott, we have done a lot for this forum, the parties to it, and even more for bitdefender. I'm leaving too, I have my life, where I will help in the development of safety programs. You will always be the guest of honor on my site! And we will always remain good friends! Good luck.
The forum will of course be a far darker place without the informative and respectful contributions you have both made. I respect your reasons for not wanting to continue. Good luck with future endeavours guys.
Thank you Valery, I appreciate it, and it was good getting to know you too, Mike Blessings to both of you.
Hello everyone,
Thank you for your feedback!
As Alin mentioned on the link posted by Catalin, "We've contacted register.com and they fixed the issue. All Bitdefender customers are and were 100% protected."
Take care.
