    You cannot just delete a program , did you use the correct unistaller?

    Have you rebooted your PC since the " deletion" ?

    If Bitdefender is still showing as active, download the Bitdefender Unistall tool for the version you were running , here >> Bitdefender Uninstall tool

    Run that tool and see what happenes.

  • Well i deleted it a 1 week ago i did it with control panel i went all programs and delete it but i was in worry because i didn't got a warning like ''your system is at risk'' because when you don't have antivirus on computer it should show but it still say bitdefender free is active and up to date i don't know how but now i will use uninstaller and see what will happend.

  • Nah i didn't helped me :( i run uninstaller and it says its deleted i clicked close and restart my computer but it still say bitdefender is active and up to date :( What to do!

    Hello,

    Welcome to the Bitdefender forums.

    We recommend you to uninstall Bitdefender Free Edition using this specific uninstall tool:

    http://www.bitdefender.com/files/Knowledge...installtool.exe

    Access the link and when the window with the Bitdefender file appears, please choose the 'Save' option. Save the tool on the PC, then run it (if you are using Windows Vista/7/8, right-click on the Gonzales_uninstalltool.exe application file and select "Run as Administrator"). Restart the computer when prompted.

    If the issue persists, please run this tool in Safe Mode.

    We are here for you should you require further assistance.

  • When i active uninstaller it worked but only at additional tools it was X ,Don't know why.And it never asked for restart but still this stupid problem is here :( I opened msconfig in run and it doesn't say that bitdefender is active when windows start because he isn't on a list but i still don't know what is happening? Sorry if im boring ;)

    OK, so Bitdefender is not in msconfig ............ open task manager and look to see if there are any Bitdefender entries there.

    It is possible that the Windows Security Centre is reporting incorrectly, it often does this.

    What Windows version are you running?

  • I have Windows xp professional and maybe you are right maybe it's mistake :D i don't have any process of him.

  • Looks good to me ))

    The Windows Security reports do get stuck sometimes. It happens no matter what AV you use.

    I haven't used XP for a while, but I think you can refresh the security report.

    There may be a button there that says " turn off reports for antivirus". If so tun it off, restart your PC, then turn reports on again.

  • Thank you all! :rolleyes:

    Now i know bye bye!

    Be advised that having some red "x" exceptions while running the Bitdefender uninstall tool is normal. The program searches for all Bitdefender entries. Since some of them were already removed when you ran the previous removal tool, the program skipped the additional removing tools, thus resulting the messages you notice on the interface. This is how the Bitdefender uninstall tool works.

    Next, you can refresh Windows Security Center checking list:

    a ) Go to Start -> Control Panel and open Administrative tools. From here click on Services;

    b ) Go to "Security Center" service and double click on it. Now click on Stop, then Apply and OK to save the changes.

    Note: the Service will start automatically next time you will restart your computer, so you only stop it until reboot;

    c ) Search on the list for "Windows Management Instrumentation" service, double click on it, stop it and click OK;

    d ) Now please browse to C:\Windows\System32\wbem\ and remove the "Repository" directory;

    e ) Reboot and check if the issue still occurs.

    I hope this information helps. Please feel free to reply should you have other questions or concerns.

  • Thanks dude! This helped me :D Now it says anti virus not found and i got windows alert.Thanks man <img class=" />

    Bye bye!
