I somehow managed to get this beast install itself into my Firefox - I have used Revo to uninstall it and also removed it from Firefox settings, but it still comes up.
Is Bitdefender's scan able to locate any hidden elements and deal with them?
Sorry to have possibly wasted time - found that the settings for Firefox still included snap.do's http as the opening page.
Hiya,
Hopefully it is now solved for you. Downloading programs should always be done via a custom install and anything you are not sure of refused otherwise it i very easy to end up with PUPs that hijack your search bar and goodness knows what else.
Hey!
Trying to remove snap.do, I found that many websites recommend spyhunter (like this one http://soft2secure.com/knowledgebase/snap-do)
Not sure about this software. Seems like it is not safe too.
Totally disappointed that bitdefender doesn't prevent the intrusion of snap.do malware, not does it detect or remove it...
I won't renew my license nor recommend BD to anyone, and never listen to the advice of the sites that say BD is 'the best'.
