I had a message saying Trojan:Heur.LP.V7v5 had been detected but could not be cleared, said it was from Adobe update C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\rt3d.dll. As instructed on the 'Help' page I ran a system scan (log attached) but this came back clear. Do I have a problem, if so what do I do?

I have just run a rescue scan, came up clean. I am using Bit Defender 2013.
Hi SallyO,
I did a little online research and didn't see to much mentioned concerning this Trojan. It could be a "false positive", but please download and run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free version from their website, run the update, then disable BD on access scanner (as this just keeps 2 scanners from scanning each file as they're accessed) by going to ->Antivirus/Settings/On-access scanning Off and the drop down arrow, "Until System restart" option. Run the Malwarebytes scan, and see what it comes up with. Be sure to re-enable BD On-access scanner after the scan.
Please also confirm that Adobe Reader and Flash are up to date, and install the newest versions if needed:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Also, update BD and try re-running the BD System scan, but before you scan, enable quarantine by going into -> Antivirus/Settings/On-access scanning/Custom/Actions/Move files to quarantine, click OK. Let's see if BD comes up anything, and maybe if there is a quarantined file we would be able to submit that to the BD techs. You can reverse the above setting when your done, by simply hitting the Default button on the On-access scanning settings window.
Confirm that you have at least these virus signatures (may be higher when you read this post) and engine, by right clicking the BD system tray icon, and About (your build number will be different than my 2014 version)
Let us know your results.
Scott

You're welcome, Sally
Thank you for the time and effort you put into both mine and toppergraph's suggestions. From the result's you've been getting, it was probably just a false positive. For the next week or two, you could set your Active Virus Control to Normal, then back it down to Permissive if desired: Settings/Antivirus.
Have a great week,
Ok, will do. Thanks again for your help.
It was gladly done
