My BitDefender Plus 2014 stopped working because the file mfc100u.dll is missing.


I cannot activate anything in my BitDefender.


When I try and contact BitDefender Support, I am asked for my licence key.


I do not know where to find my licence key.


I also cannot ask BitDefender to send me my licence key, because I need my licence key to communicate with BitDefender Support.


How do I get hold of my licence key.


At the moment I have no protection and I need to get Bitdefender working again.


I was informed to re-install my BitDefender Antivirus to get the missing file back again. I do not know how to re-install the anitvirus.


Please help me or tell me how to get into contact with BitDefender Support when I cannot supply a licence key because I need them to tell me where I can get the licence key. I need BitDefender Support to send me my licence key. How do I do that?

    Hello Nicolaas,


    Whilst you say you can't open the Bitdefender GUI on your computer are you able to log into MyBitdefender on the web? If so your licence key will be shown when you click your e-mail account at the top of that page and choose "Products". You can then contact Bitdefender for help.


    Also if you bought the product digitally your licence will be in the email you received - if you still have it.

    Oh, and you can either try a repair -


    Control Panel>Programs and features>Bitdefender>Uninstall> Choose Repair, wait for it to finish and reboot your computer.
