my system restore point files ( stuff in system volume information ) are showing infections. since bitdefender can't access those files the solution in the FAQ is to delete those files manually. even after I delete those files, scans show new infected objects every time windows creates a restore point. I contacted bitdefender support but they told me my system is clean even though the logs I attached clearly show a completely clean system pre restore points creations and a system with infected restore points post creations of those said points.
I am linking scan logs, system logs I will send in a PM to any bitdefender rep who needs them.
The first log, titled old1410259200_1_01 is of the full C scan that I do regularly that showed the files in the restore points being infected. I deleted the restore points and a contextual scans of the folder showed them clean.
This luckily coincided with the windows 8.1 64 updates that rolled out the same day. After the system completed the updates and created new restore points, a contextual scan showed the restore points as infected. this is the new log titled new1410367972_1_01.
I hope I can get some peace of mind here on the forums instead of the generic robot replies from the email support without any explanation about what is going on...
