Regsitry Change - Enableballoontips

Hi,

Just trying to track down what is changing my registry on start-up.

Every time I restart windows 8.1 the registry entry

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\EnableBalloonTips

gets set to 0 and I need it to be 1.

Is Bitdefender doing this by any chance?

Doubtful, it is set to 1 on both my Win 8.1 systems and doesn't change.

I have tested this and Bitdefender is the cause.

I did a total machine rebuild. Used the machine for about a week without Bitdefender installed and had no issue. As soon as I installed Bitdefender the problem appeared immediately.

Can anyone suggest how I disable this? I use Balloon Tips a lot.

Machine is running Windows 8.1 64-bit.
