Can a Samsung SM-T217S Tablet support the SMS commands ?

Mine says "GSM hardware is not acceptable. For this reason, you will not be able to use SMS commands with this device".

Dont know much about these things... but Im guessing that mine may be a GSM device? - Please advise.

Hello,

Your Samsung tablet should support SMS commands as long as you can send sms with it or dial a phone number. Only a few tablets support the call / sms function. And if they do have a GSM module, it is being used only for mobile data.

Therefore, to be able to answer your question please let us know if you can make calls and send sms with that tablet.
