BDLDaemon consuming 97% CPU

Options

Since the upgrade to macOS 10.12.1 on my Mac Server the BDLDaemon consumes between 70 and 99 % CPU. This happens since the last macOS upgrade. On my two other Macs with the same macOS (but not servers) this does not occur. IS there anything I can do to get the CPU time for the BDLDaemon back to normal?

Thanks.

    Hello,

    Please follow the steps below.

    1. Uninstall Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac

    http://www.bitdefender.com/support/-1687.html

Note: remove all the Bitdefender files and folder as shown in the article from above and the previously downloaded .pkg files from the Downloads folder

    2. Restart your Mac in Safe Boot

After this, simply restart your Mac without pressing anything else and it will, by default, start in normal mode.

    3. Reinstall Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac from your Central account

    4. Run a full system scan for the cache to be rebuilt

  • I did this and it seemed to work for awhile. But we're back to where we started. I will try this again, but I hope you guys can up with a final fix.

  • Hi,

Please check if you have the latest build available: 6.0.0.19. If you have a previous version, install the latest one directly from your Central account and run a System Scan.

If you already have the latest build, then run again a System Scan and check which other application have an intense activity when the BDLDaemon is using too much CPU. Verify the other tabs too, Memory and Disk especially.
