Service Control Manager Error 7016

Since I installed Bitdefender Total Security 2017, I have been getting the above error, on boot, only. (Never had this issue with 2016 version.) I have excluded all Malwarebyte applications because of known conflicts. Any idea what other applications might conflict with 2017?

I noticed this might be a glitch in the service itself.

Thank you for your reply. I did a system check and there were no issues. I read the article you sent regarding a possible glitch in the service (what service are you referring to?) but I must plead ignorance because I do not understand how to resolve the issue. Perhaps you could translate the article into more simplistic language so that I can attempt to resolve the issue myself. My OS is Win 7, SP1.

Same here.

Have not seen this error before, just the last weeks.

I have run the System check, no problems there.

Like Cas, I do have no idea how to resolve the glitch in the windows service control manager or Bitdefender Virus Shield service.

Using windows 7 64 and Internet security.

Have checked on malware (malwarebytes) and my system seems to be clean.

Bitdefender Virus Shield service is running normal, starts automatic C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2017\vsserv.exe" /service

Any ideas how to solve this problem?
