Visual Studio Community 2015 permanently Not Responding

Options


The 'Not Responding' message would often come up previously (to the stage of being annoying) but now seems to be permanent after installing BitDefender AntiVirus Plus 2017.


Any suggestions?  I'm new to BitDefender so would appreciate knowing how to temporarily pausing BD while I test my theories.

    You can disable the AntiVirus Plus protection by going to


    Protection > View Modules > Anti-Virus and disable the two modules there.
