Bitdefender installer annoying pop up

Hello,

I installed Bitdefender Total Security 2017 on my windows and everything worked perfectly.

But when I installed the bitdefender Total Security 2017 on my Mac, a problem occured.

Bitdefender is installed, but there is a pop-up message from bitdefender installer that won't go away:

 

I tried 2 things:

1) to uninstall Bitdefender from my Mac, but I didn't find any uninstallers in my Bitdefender folder on my Mac. I downloaded an uninstaller from bitdefender.com, unfortunately, this didn't work either.

2) I started searching Google for people with the same problem and I found 1:

after reading this post I downloaded the AgentfixTool, but the tool says 'Bitdefender agent is up to date'. However the Bitdefender Installer pop-up is still there.

 

I really hope there is a way to either uninstall bitdefender from my Mac, or keep the installer from popping up?

Welcome to the forum.

Please refrain from posting the same information in multiple locations.

Please follow the steps below and let me know if you still encounter the issue afterwards.

1. Restart your Mac in Safe Boot

2. Uninstall Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac

Note : If you are missing the Uninstaller from /Library/Bitdefender/Central/Agent please follow the steps in this article.

3. Remove any remaining files

-click on Go in the menu bar

-select Go to Folder

-type: /Library/LaunchAgents/   and click on Go

-move to Trash the com.bitdefender.installer.plist file if it's there

-empty Trash


4. Restart in Normal Mode and reinstall from Central
