About a month ago, there was a virus called Savingscool installed on my PC. I am not able to uninstall it under my programs. I thought that my Bitdefender Total Security 2017 would catch this and remove it. How do I uninstall it? I have Windows 10.
I am no expert, but i would try downloading Zemana anti malmare , malwarebytes and Hitmanpro (all free) and do a scan with each one , not at the same time, you may need to disable Bitdefender to do this, these softwares might pick up something that the other misses that's why i suggested all 3 of them. If you are still truly stuck then pop over to malwaretips site as these guys are really helpful in trying to help you get rid of nasty stuff, there may already be solution to your particular virus but if not then just ask for help in the malmare section after reading the guides provided. BD Is not all its cracked to be these days. Good luck!!

Savingscool is not a virus, trojan, worm, etc. It is nuisance adware, which is why Bitdefender did not catch it.
This MalwareTips link outlines how to remove it from your computer.
Good luck and have a great day.

Should I leave these anti-malware programs installed along with BD 2017?
Hey Hersheykiss. Yes you can, there should not be any conflicts. Antivirus is for real time protection from virus, trojan worm etc. and the other one is for scanning/removing unwanted malware from your PC. I would say that good combination is BD TS 2017 + Malwarebytes or IObit Malware Fighter.
Hello Hersheykiss. My opinion is that it is ok to leave anti-malware program since it is not an antivirus, along with BD 2017. If there are any conflicts than you could add exceptions in Bitdefender for anti malware program and vice versa. Also, you stated programs, in plural. I think more than one is too much...correct me if I`m wrong Would love to hear Phils opinion.
