Computer is DELL XPS 15 9550 W10P.
April 17, 2017: running on a business WIFI network, in a very rural location - I felt secure (although Bitdefender said otherwise). Subject computer experienced slow to non-existent response times. My Android tablet on the same network and websites worked normally. I ran a BitDefender17 scan. The scan was clean except for the existence of 2 password protected files. I saved the log file - part of which is shown in the next paragraph. All system/program updates were current at this time.

I had not password protected these files - or ANY files on this computer. No previous scan showed any protected /unscanned files. I looked at the attributes of the listed ArcGIS file - yep, password protected. Many similar named files in the same folder were all non-protected. I shut the computer down until I had time to address the problem. That time came today, 23 April.
I signed onto a different network today - wifi tethered to my 4G-LTE cellphone. Response time seemed normal. I ran Bitdefender and nothing was found.* I checked properties of the \ArcGIS\... file and it is not now password protected. I tried to check properties of the file in \InstallShield...\... and the InstallShield.... folder itself is not present.
* (except for a new "Critical Windows Update" and a new Adobe Flash NPAPI version to install. I'll do those updates Tuesday and rescan with Bitdefender.)
Do I have a problem? What likely happened? What, if anything should I do/look out for in future?
Lol, my user name stands for Never Lost Often Late - but I'm lost now.
