Total Security 2017 and windows 10 version 1703

Options

Hi,

My best par and I have the same laptop, but running Win 10 and Bitdefender Total Security (which I bought and installed a couple of days ago.

We were both happily running Win 10 Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.1358).

How ever, yesterday she chose to let Windows 10 install the latest updates.

She ended up with Win 10 Version 1703 (OS Build 15063.413).

After that update the Web Protection seem to have stopped working.

I.e. when using a search engine you get a "green light" for safe URL's, blocking possible fishing sites etc.

It doesn't matter which browser she uses. Tried with Avant, Edge, I.E 11 and The latest version of Firefox.

We have also tried to reinstall Bitdefender, but to no avail.

Has anyone else had this problem, and did you manage to get rid of it and in that case how? :-)

Thanks!

-Ole-

  • Can you please try these steps it might help. default_happy.png

    • open the Bitdefender program

    • click on the Modules button (in the lower part of the window)

    • click on the Web Protection module

    • enable SSL Scan

If this would not work .. try to uninstall the bitdefender completely by downloading the uninstaller tool and install it again.

I got the same build and same Os update but I am not getting any issues so far.

    Hi,

Thanks for the tips. I tried everything you suggested, but it didn't help.

I checked my daughters laptop yesterday, which was also recently updated with the new Windows version, and she has the same issue.

Web Protection is still not working. :-(

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks!
