Bitdefender is installed but won't shop up in my programms for some reason.

Hello everyone,

I recently tried to install bitdefender internet security (lifetime). After downloading the 300+mb update the program said "Preparing your product" before disappearing and never reappearing again.

The programm is clearly installed on my pc but won't show up in my programms.

Solutions I have tried:

- removing all the bitdefender files using the 2016/2017/2018 tools and then re installing.

- installing from disc.

Anyone know how to fix this ?

Hello,

Firstly I would advise installing from Central, this ensures you download the latest Agent.

Also ensure that any other security solution is removed from the machine prior to installing Bitdefender.

Should the issue persist, please contact our support team via bitsy@bitdefender.com with the logs from the Bitdefender Support Tool.

I have installed bitdefender from Central and removed all my other security solutions (except windows defender but I don't think it's possible to uninstall this program).

Do you know where I could obtain the bitdefender support tool ?
