    Is your OS Win10?  Is this Windows Defender (AS ? AV program) or Windows Defender Security Center (system security monitoring center)?

    It is the Security Center in Windows 10. BD replaced another Security Suite that did not show the security center in the tray. Tech support replied that BD is controlling it.


    If I had my search terms correct, it did not find an answer in the forums.

    Yes, the latest version of Win10 has added the 'improved' WD Security Center.  It is part of the plans to migrate as much of the old style Control Panel applets into the Win10 style controls.
