I'm a software developer. After upgrading to BD2018 I was confronted with the situation that our complete development environment was seen as malware. It removed php, lazarus and software we created. It could only be solved by adding things to the white list, got (good) response from support, but have no clue if something has changed. Since yesterday we are testing our application in a production environment before deploying it to our customers. Problem: we got a atc4 error and our software was put into quarantine again. To test we had to install the software on a different location and yes after a day it got recognized by BD as being malware, the executables are removed, the directory blocked etc.
The problem I have is that it is totally unclear to me what to do. I cannot deploy to our customers as some of them will probabely using BD too, I can't request them to whitelist applications (don't want to bother my customers), and I don't have any influence on this thing happening. I'm stuck.
Why isn't there a way to whitelist the application on your system(s) so that it being seen as legal? We lost again a lot of time tracing obscure error messages on software that used to work well. What is the best approach around this problem?
