I have been using Bitdefender for years and I've never had any real issues. Last day suspended its running for some time to install a crack. and it actually cost me a lot. My pc is infected by a ransomware. I am a freelancer and this is actually my work/personal pc. Most my ongoing projects are in there. So it is really important that I don't lose that data. They are asking for 0.025 bitcoins which were about 330 us dollars when they asked. But the value has risen tremendously after that. And that really made it out of my budget.
So I am looking for a solution. I don't know what to do. At one point I even considered hiring this IT security company after reading about a company successfully decrypting ransomware hit pc. But I don't know if that will help or not. So help me, what can I do? Is there any way to recover my data without paying them? Or can I hire some company to do this for a lower price?
