Safe Files suddenly an issue for Microsoft Applications

After working pretty well for a few months, Bitdefender suddenly stopped my Microsoft applications from working.  A pop up appeared that said "Previously allowed Microsoft Database Daemon was blocked by Bitdefender Safe Files to access your protected files.  What would you like to do?"

I asked Bitdefender to CONTINUE ALLOWING and ticked the checkbox that said "Remember this action for all future sessions of the process".

But it did not remember the action, kept asking, and kept blocking all Microsoft Applications.

Furthermore within Bitdefender it recommended that I block EXCEL, WORD and ENTOURAGE.

So I can only now work with Safe Files turned off.

Doesn't make much sense to me.

Did you update recently Microsoft Office?

We recommend you to remove Microsoft applications from Managed Applications and re-add them and then select Allow.

To access Bitdefender Safe Files:

• Click on the top menu bar icon of Bitdefender.

• Select Preferences.

• Go to the Safe Files tab.

• Click on the Manage Applications button.

• Click remove ( - )

• Click  Add ( + ) then select Allow

• Click Ok to confirm the changes.
