I believe I'm infected with the com surrogate virus and would like to know how to get rid of it. Here is a dropbox link to a log that I created for ESET. Oh ESET is fun, I submitted multiple malware samples to them, they told me they were clean, then two hours later they added it to their database.
We cannot speak in the name of other companies, but if you mentioned that they added the detection, most likely the infection it was removed when the detection was added.
You may verify if in C:\Windows\System32 if you still have dllhost.exe*32 com surrogate.

I think using the total internet security will help you out if you are a windows user. But if you are on a Mac platform then use the internet security tool which comes with a free VPN that will protect your system which can be purchased from apple customer service chat with a voucher offer.
