"Privacy threat blocked" when signing into a program

I'm Using Bitdefender Total Security (with 91 days left on my subscription)

I'm trying to sign into a marketing program for the first time.  I've done the installation OK, and now when I try to sign into the program the first time with my password, I get the message:

Privacy threat blocked

We just blocked a connection to prevent your password being sent unencrypted, in plain text.  Your safe!  More details

I'm using Windows 10

I looked at the help file: What to do when bd blocks a safe website or online app..... but this is not online.

From the Protection Features screen, I have turned off:
