File "wscript.exe" detected as malware.

For the past week, Bitdefender has been notifying me of malware on wscript.exe. I know the file is official, but I cannot find a way to remedy it. All the tutorials I've found are garbage, and I've done many full system scans, quick scans and scans of only the wscript.exe file itself, to no avail. I'm completely stuck here, please help me out here.

Same problem. Every hour a pop-up. Don't know why. Started just last week. My laptop cannot be used for presentations with Bitdefender installed now.

Same here, every hour a pop-up that it's been blocked but nothing removed. I ran other malware products and turned on Windows defender but nothing found. Everything is reporting that my machine is clean.

@Bitdefender, any solutions to removing the problem?

Having the exact same problem as well. The notification appears every hour around the 33rd minute mark. I ran a full scan, no infected files and the wscript.exe file was last updated beginning of April, so it's strange the notification started appearing now. The file can't be removed easily, it requires trusted installer permissions. The file is located in the system32 folder. I'm located in France.

Just to add. Getting the same warnings as above. I've had a look at the logs and this issue began for me on 29th May and has been consistently happening every hour since.
