Testing AV protection

I am using a trial version of total security 2020

I am testing on my android tablet v9

In evaluating i am running some testing.

I accessed the amtso.eicar. website

Bitdefender failed two different tests I was able to download eixar, and potentially unwanted exe.

They are currently in my downloaded files, bitdefender has scanned twice.

 

What settings do I need to change, or what am I missing?

Bitdefender Mobile Security will not detect potentially unwanted applications developed for Windows OS (.exe).

Please let me know which Eicar test file you've used.

I thought that might be the case with the potentially unwanted exe

I currently have the Eicar.com file downloaded directly from the amtso website

Again this is on my Samsung Galaxy tablet Android version 9.

In order to check if the application Bitdefender Mobile Security for Android is working accordingly, you can use Zoner AntiVirus Test from Google Play Store or you can use the Malware Tests (except for the Eicar test) from the link below:

http://www.wicar.org/test-malware.html

Please keep in mind that Eicar tests are for Windows only.
