VPN on iOS 11 and TeleHealth visit

I was not able to connect with my doctor's office this morning using my iPhone 11. The doctor sent me a link several times, by text and also by email; every time I clicked on the link, it would not connect me to the doctor; it told me that the link had expired. We tried five times in all. This should not have happened, and none of us could figure out what was wrong. Thinking it over later, I wonder if the VPN on my phone was blocking me from connecting to the TeleHealth site.

Is there a way to temporarily disconnect the VPN on my iPhone?

Thank you -

Thank you for your reply - it was most helpful! Actually, when I opened up the app, the VPN was not connected. When I looked in Settings, though, it was "on". I am wondering now whether the VPN had anything to do with my problem yesterday, when I was not able to connect with my doctor's Telehealth visit.

Now that I know where these settings are, I'll turn them all on, unless I need to talk to my doctor!

    Thanks for your help -

  • Hello Knitter,

Its extremely simple to turn OFF VPN on iphone:

    1. Launch Bitdefender app
    2. Tap on VPN tab
    3. Make sure you tap on ‘Disconnect’ button

    1. Tap on Web Protection tab
    2. Make sure you have turned OFF Web Protection

Just to confirm the VPN is turned OFF, you won’t see the ‘VPN’ in the notification area anymore

Also you can confirm by navigating to iPhone Settings, VPN is turned OFF
